“Retail Technology’s Leading Lady” also to interview House of Fraser CEO Nigel Oddy at first-ever Tech Event for NextGen Commerce in Las Vegas
At the Startup Pitch session, being held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:10 p.m., on Wednesday, May 18th, Weinswig will lead 15 early-stage companies in three-minute presentations, followed by three minutes of
questions and answers from judges Sanjit Dang, Investment Director of Intel Capital, Brooke Harley, Partner of Campfire Capital, and Mary Lou Kelley, President of E-commerce at Best Buy. Two winners, one selected by the judges, the other by the audience, will receive $25,000 each.
“This is an incredible opportunity for these entrepreneurs, at an extraordinary event. Not only will they be promoting their services to an exceptional business audience, they will be part of launching a conference that I believe will be a game-changer for retail going forward,” says Weinswig, Managing Director of Fung Global Retail & Technology. “I’m also excited to hear Nigel speak about House of Fraser’s innovations – and thrilled to be a part of Shoptalk, as well. This is going to be fun!”
Weinswig will interview Oddy about “Digital Store Trends and Technologies” on Monday, May 16th, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:10 a.m.
Weinswig has joined several other industry luminaries in advising Shoptalk founders Anil Aggarwal, Jonathan Weiner and Don Kingsborough in shaping this first-ever event focused on the technologies and trends that are set to fundamentally reshape how consumers discover, shop and buy. Bringing together an entirely new community of Internet companies, tech startups, retailers, brands, investors and other key stakeholders around an unprecedented agenda, Shoptalk will provide an unmatched opportunity for dialogue and interaction that will serve as a critical catalyst for the entire commerce ecosystem. More than 2,000 professionals, including leading retail and technology CEOs, are expected to attend. Other speakers at the conference include Hudson’s Bay Company CEO Gerald Storch, Andy Dunn, Founder and CEO of Bonobos, Uri Minkoff, CEO of Rebecca Minkoff, and John Costello, President of Global Marketing and Innovation of Dunkin’ Brands.
