Join Deborah Weinswig, Managing Director of Fung Global Retail & Technology, and leaders from the worlds of fashion, technology and finance at the latest edition of Fung Global Retail & Technology’s “Breakfast with the Disruptors” Series, Featuring Fashion Tech Companies, sponsored by Avery Dennison, a global leader in creative, sustainable and intelligent labeling solutions for the retail apparel market.

Eight carefully curated startups will present their pitches to a panel of esteemed judges. The event will also include networking with judges and key industry executives from the investor, technology and fashion communities. The startup with the best pitch will receive a cash prize of $2,500 courtesy of Avery Dennison, which includes charity contributions to Dignity U Wear, a nonprofit helping people in need with the gift of new size-specific clothing. The startups also will have the opportunity to present in front of Li & Fung and Global Brands Group senior management.

The startups are:

  • Air Tailor, a tailoring solution that streamlines fit and provides expert alternation and repair services
  • Awear, which rewards consumers for wearing the brand they love while the brand is collecting valuable insights
  • Everywear, a platform that brings editorial authority to e-commerce
  • Furnishr, an interior design platform that makes furnishing spaces easy and affordable
  • Mirror That Look, an AI visual search for fashion
  • Nineteenth Amendment, which allows independent designers sell directly to customers without traditional inventory
  • Smartzer, a video player that allows consumers to click on items within a video to make purchases
  • Ziel, a manufacturer of eco-friendly on-demand activewear produced in the U.S.

Judging the presentations will be:

  • Kathryn Cavanaugh, Partner, Grace Beauty Capital
  • Jason Rabin, President, Global Brands Group North America & Global CMO
  • Julie Vargas, Director, Product Management, Digital Solutions, Retail Branding, Avery Dennison.
