The two global think tanks will produce events throughout Asia Pacific highlighting the effect on and integration of technological innovation into shopping centers and retailers
As part of the collaboration, the two will organize events in Hong Kong, and with the same topics repeated with different panelists in Tokyo, Shanghai, Singapore and Sydney between August 2017 and June 2018, focusing on “Retail Innovation and Its Applications to Real Estate.” After each event, a summary of top take-aways will be published across both firm’s platforms.
Among the topics likely to be discussed are “The Connected Mall of the Future,” with separate events focusing on interacting with shoppers and on achieving efficiencies for property owners. Other events may focus on “The Tenant of the Future,” and possible case studies on e-commerce and logistics.”Retail and the mall are very much alive, and developers in the Asia Pacific region in particular have been on the cutting edge of integrating the latest technology into their properties,” said Deborah Weinswig, FGRT Managing Director. “With these events, we will showcase the best practices achieved thus far so that other companies, in Asia and across the world, can learn and discover what might work from them.”
The first event will be held on Wednesday, August 30, at 6:00 p.m. at the offices of Mayer Brown JSM, 16th Floor, Prince’s Building, 10 Chater Road, Central, Hong Kong. The discussion will focus on “The Connected Mall of the Future” – a showcase of customer-facing tech solutions available to the mall and retail owners that can revolutionize the communication and engagement with the customers. Joining Weinswig on the panel will be Victor Ruiz, CEO and Co-Founder of ActiMirror, a creator of personalized consumer communication channels and Francois Chabaudie, CEO of Neoma, which helps malls create, launch and promote beacon-powered and Augmented Reality applications.
